Clinics and Services
The doctors and staff at Woodlands Health Centre are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.We run many important clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations, and well-person check-ups.
We offer services at the practice including

- Immunisation & Travel Health (including Yellow Fever)
- Minor Operations
- Health Centre Nursing Care (eg cervical smears, leg ulcer dressing, wound care, ear syringing etc).

Community Psychiatric Nurses/Counsellor/Psychologist
Help with mental health issues, including the management of stress and anxiety, alcohol or drug related problems and depression. Access to these services is by referral only.
Dental Care
For special needs, referrals and safety net service. Dental Dept are responsible for their own appointments administration. Access to this service ¡s by referral only.
District Nursing
District Nurses assess health needs for the housebound and provide appropriate care their Direct telephone/fax number is 0300 123 3382.
If you are housebound and think you would benefit from support from the District Nurses you must speak to your GP first.
Long Term Health Care
Our long term health care includes the monitoring of Diabetes, COPD, Asthma and Heart Disease, clinics are run by the nursing team and can be booked through reception when your review is due.
Health Visitors
Health education for all ages, child health screening and family health screening.

Midwifery
Shared maternity care Relaxation classes and parent craft classes with the health visitors and midwives. Times announced on the notice board.

Fees for Non-NHS Work
Patients sometimes require services not covered by the NHS. Examples are: reports and examinations for school, insurances, employment, private medical care, sport, travel etc. There are recommended charges for this non-NHS work and a list is displayed in the waiting area.

Travel Advice and Immunisations
Our practice nurses are able to offer advice and administer vaccinations. Contact reception for more information and to make an appointment. There is a charge for some immunisations which is payable at the time of the appointment.
