Repeat Prescriptions

Please can patients note that we will now be taking prescription phonecalls between 11am - 12pm, and 3pm - 4pm. This will be for prescription enquires.

Due to safety issues we will only take prescription requests over the phone for housebound patients. We do need to have prescriptions for everyone else in writing.

These can be made by use of the following:

  • Posting your slip in the box on the reception front desk in both Paddock Wood and East Peckham surgery during opening hours;
  • Posting your slip through the external post box at Paddock Wood or East Peckham surgery at any time;
  • Online through our online prescription service.

To sign up to our online prescription service, please bring in some photo identification to one of our receptionists who can sign you up for the service.

If your prescription is urgent please give it in at the front desk and write urgent on it. Please do not phone in if you have run out of your medication, prescriptions are not processed any quicker if they are phoned in. For all other requests please allow three working days notice.

Our prescription staff can only issue repeat prescriptions. A repeat prescription is one that includes your regular medication. This does not normally include antibiotics. If you would like a prescription for medication which you have not had for a long time, or that is not on your repeat prescription you will need to speak to your doctor.

Repeat prescriptions can only be obtained during our normal working week as the out of hours services are unable to deal with these.
