There is no need for you to put enter a 'reason' for your appointment even if prompted to do so.

Booking appointments online
We have been made aware that there has been a problem with availability of appointments to book online. With support from Emis we are now in a position to reconfigure the system so that more appointments will start becoming available to book online.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Getting started:

Before using the internet services you must register for online services by requesting a registration letter from reception; the receptionist will check your date of birth against our records and also ask for some proof of identity (ideally photocard driving licence or passport)– this is to ensure that no-one else can access your details on our computer system.
Parents may register on behalf of their children who have not yet reached their 13th birthday.

Young people from the age of 16 years may register for online services by providing acceptable ID such as passport, student card, NI card.

Once you have registered you should click Online Facilities and enter your personal details in exactly the same format as on your registration letter. If the information does not match, your registration will not be accepted. After registering, you can log on with your patient number and a password that you have chosen.

Requesting a repeat prescription:

Making an appointment to see your doctor

This facility is available only for patients registered with Dr Cheales, Dr Potterton, Dr Burke and Dr Frank and we would respectfully remind you that you may only make an appointment with the doctor you are registered with.

You are also able to cancel and check on appointments that you have made.

Queries/comments?o If you are unsure of anything, or wish for more information, then please do not hesitate to contact the administration staff at the health centre.

SECURITY
We take the security of our patients' information very seriously. By working with EMIS, the company that provides the computer systems for this practice (and for more than 50% of all GPs in the UK), we can ensure that the information that you provide is protected. All communications with the practice are encrypted, using the same high security that major banks used for their internet transactions. Only you can see the personal information you enter. The website is administered at a remote high security site managed by EMIS, not at the practice, so there is no possibility of unauthorised access. We would advise you to use the most up-to-date version of your web browser to improve security; and would also remind you to close the browser after use, especially if someone else could access your computer.
